Place to be for blushing brides

A High Peak businesswoman is sending blushing brides up the aisle in style after launching her own wedding shop. Georgia Howarth looks to be tailor-made for success after opening the doors of Cavendish Bridal House in Hayfield. Guests enjoyed a sip of champagne as they viewed the rich array of eye-catching dresses on show from top designer names at the shop's launch party.

After 15 years in the wedding industry, Georgia is eager to ensure that a bride's big day is extra special.

Students give model show

Glossopdale community college's practical, albeit slightly dusty hall, was transformed into a venue fit for a Paris or Milan fashion show. Visitors were greeted with exquisitely decorated cupckaes and a glass of bucks fizz, made by Year 10 catering students, and heart-shaped baloons, which set the mood for the up-and-coming Valentines' day.

The girls were stunning in their ewel coloured dresses, loaned from Cavendish Bridal House, flawless make-up (courtesy of Hairworx) and intricate hair-dos artfully styled by the hayloft.
And, finally, with a wave of all three sponsors' magic wand, they were transformed from rags to riches.

Duke of Devonshire drops in on Georgia

Georgia Howarth the owner of Cavendish Bridal House in Hayfield, Derbyshire was pleased to meet the very highly esteemed Duke of Devenshire. He dropped in on Georgia on an impromptu visit while on a tour of the local school given by the Princes Trust.

Georgia was extremely honoured when the Duke of Devenshire said that he was very honoured that his family name was put to a very good purpose.........
